Strategy Evaluation Criteria
Communicability - is the proposed strategy “identifiable” and “understandable” for the stakeholders, community and prospective visitors?
External fit - is the proposed strategy consistent with business, State and local government strategy?
Internal fit - is the proposed strategy consistent with precinct strengths, objectives, policies, resources and values? (each major development proposal will be screened for impact on the objectives)
Risk - does the proposed strategy achieve minimal risk with maximum yield consistent with resources and prospects?
Alternatives - has the proposed strategy resulted from a process of objective analysis and incorporate maximum application of imagination and creativity? Does it respond to defined problems and opportunities? Has there been a careful appraisal and comparison with other alternatives to help establish the key factors for success? The strategy should be a response to defined problems and opportunities and to careful appraisal of alternatives.
Quantification - is the proposed strategy measurable in terms of time (not be open ended) and performance? Can identifiable outcomes and performance parameters be set?
Continuity - will the proposed strategy be conducive for continual review and planning?
